Richard Malovic is the CEO and Co-Founder of Whalebone, a cybersecurity company established in 2016 in Brno, Czech Republic. Under his leadership, Whalebone has grown into a globally recognized market leader, providing network-level cybersecurity products to over 350 communications service providers, public institutions, and enterprises worldwide. The company’s mission is to protect one billion people across the globe by the end of the decade. In February 2025, Whalebone secured €13.35 million in Series B funding, led by London-based Unbound, to accelerate global expansion and innovation.
Malovic holds two Master's degrees from Masaryk University in Brno: one in Law (2004–2011) and another in Business Management (2004–2009). He also studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at the University of Münster in 2008.
Before founding Whalebone, Malovic gained diverse experience across multiple industries. He held various positions at Student Cyber Games, including Chief Financial Officer and Chairman. At Siemens, he served as a Commercial Sales Manager for Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe, focusing on sales coordination, contract negotiation, and risk evaluation.
