Kateřina Janků was the co-founder and co-owner of Moravia IT, a language services and localization business for global technology companies. Under her leadership as CEO for many years, and later as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Moravia IT grew into a world leader, attracting investment from Clarion Capital Partners in 2015, before being acquired by RWS in 2017.
Today Mrs Janků focuses on real estate development in Brno and London.
In January 2025 Kateřina and her husband Petr started a Foundation called Neoli, with the objective to improve the understanding and mitigation of pre-term birth by investing in targeted scientific research and development. Their aim is to improve the quality of life for mothers, their new-borns and families.
She was the winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year award for the Czech Republic in 2000, and was a finalist for World Entrepreneur of the Year 2001. She holds a Master's degree in English and Hungarian languages and literature.
